Autumn 3D guide

Getting started

Build your first object

  • Create Primitive: add a Box, Plane, Cylinder, or Sphere.
  • Immediately editable: new primitives support vertex, edge, and face operations as soon as you create them.
  • Editable Poly: quads and n-gons stay editable; triangles used for drawing do not replace polygon boundaries.
  • Selection Level: choose Object to edit the entire object, or a component level for detailed modeling.
  • Save project: keep an editable .autumn3d file as you work.

Your workspace

  • Left panel: organize objects into layers, rename them, and control appearance.
  • Right panel: transforms, selection levels, modeling tools, and pivot controls. Click a rollout heading to collapse it.
  • Create primitives: Box, Plane, Cylinder, Sphere, Cone, and Prism are editable immediately. Number of sides (3–128) sets sides on supported primitives and vertical sphere segments; boxes and planes ignore it. Set 3 for a triangular prism.
  • Hover controls: a short tooltip follows the cursor. There are no animation, rigging, or render-production tools.
